A good declutter and efficient storage all areas is the answer to keeping your home organised and tidy ongoing. It doesn’t have to cost a fortune – a couple of weekly sessions work really well to get things moving and I can set some achievable ‘homework’ tasks in between if you’d like. HOW DO SESSIONS WORK?
I have worked with many clients over the years and recognise that each person and situation is different.
In our initial session, in a visit to your home (please don’t panic, I will take you as I find you of course) we’ll assess the overall goal you want to reach and talk about your home/work situation, time and energy available etc. You are likely to feel a bit apprehensive about the visit but you will also hopefully find yourself at ease with me and more than likely relieved to be asking for guidance. No judgement, just solutions.
We’ll discuss an efficient method of working and I will set you some personalised realistically achievable tasks to get you started. Any subsequent sessions will continue to guide you on suitable tasks – a step by step tailored approach. You are free to engage with just an initial session to get you started, or to continue with periodic sessions to keep the task moving/keep you on track. Subsequent sessions may be in person or by phone, by agreement.
Are you wearing less than half of the clothes you own? SO many of us have a mountain of clothes that are inaccessible to us, either because they are no longer useful, or stored randomly.
I love to help with this money saving task. Buy less, wear more!
We will talk about seasons, colour, sizing etc. then work together to categorise items so that you can SEE what you have. I can take any unwanted items to charity then we work together on organised and efficient storage. I can provide space saving hangers to streamline the process if you’d like. THE RESULT: a beautifully organised wardrobe system that can be maintained easily in the long term.
Change and transitions in life are inevitable for us all. Divorce, relationship break ups, bereavement, new baby/a growing family, downsizing, moving house, ill health and incapacity – the list is endless. The circle of life can certainly bring some challenging transitions which, more often than not bring major reorganisation with regards your living arrangements. Whatever your situation I can help ease the process. A word on some specific scenarios:
New baby/a growing family/elderly parent moving into your family home.
Is your home already bursting at the seams with people and stuff? For many people it seems like a bigger house is the only option but there may be another way. Perhaps it’s possible to rearrange use of rooms/space to create an additional nursery or bedroom. Call on me for a one to one advice session and we can see what’s possible.
Home organising after bereavement.
An already deeply upsetting time also brings the need to organise – both paperwork for probate and the home generally. I have helped many clients in this situation and would be happy to offer some practical support with getting the administrative part in order and to help ease the burden of going through other items when you feel ready. I totally understand that emotions may be to the forefront of these sessions and you are assured of empathy and compassion in help with this daunting task.
