Practical Life Help FAQs
a) Get in touch to let me know how I might assist you. Don’t worry if you don’t have a clear idea of the specific help needed.
b) We can have an informal no obligation chat about task/s, whether or not you want one off or potentially regular help etc. – try not to over think this part, I will have information gathering questions in mind to get to the heart of what might work best for you.
c) If you would like a quote, based on our discussion and information gathered I will get back to you with a quote/proposal- preferably by e-mail.
d) Get back to me with any thoughts/questions you may have, then if you’re happy with everything we can arrange a meet up if required (necessary in some instances) or go ahead and schedule a first session. Sessions can be booked on an ‘as and when’ basis or at regular intervals- as you prefer. Either way there is no contract so you’re free to stop sessions at any point.
a) I have PVG clearance documentation which you are welcome to check. This means that I am police checked to ensure that I have no criminal record.
b) I have been in business in Edinburgh for seven years and hope that testimonial including live Google review shows that I am well regarded. I am very willing to meet the family of elderly people before agreeing to any tasks – in fact I would prefer to if possible.
c) I currently volunteer for Contact the Elderly a long established national charity that offers tea parties for isolated elderly people.
d) I have also worked with vulnerable people of all ages in the past in both Edinburgh and York.
Where at all possible I will provide a fixed fee cost on a task by task basis. If this is not possible due to the nature of the task I will be transparent about the potential maximum cost.
Answers to question 2 above apply and hopefully show that I am a person of respectability. I love my job and take my reputation seriously so will treat your home as if it were my own – in fact with even more care.
